What KaSabay is
KaSabay is a community platform that connects private drivers who are already making a trip between Philippine cities with passengers going the same way. KaSabay is not a public utility vehicle operator, taxi, or Transport Network Company (TNC), and does not provide commercial transport services itself.
Prices and driver responsibilities
Drivers set their own price per seat, and KaSabay shows a usual price for the route as a guide. Drivers are responsible for complying with Philippine transport regulations that may apply to charging passengers (including LTFRB and LTO rules), and for any permits or franchises those rules require. Drivers are also responsible for holding a valid LTO driver's license, using a roadworthy private vehicle with valid registration and insurance, and following all traffic laws.
Payments & cancellations
Booking a seat on KaSabay is free. The seat contribution is paid by the passenger directly to the driver on the day of travel (by GCash or cash). KaSabay does not charge a booking fee, and does not hold or transfer seat contributions.
You can cancel a seat at any time. Because nothing is paid through KaSabay, there is nothing to refund. Please cancel as early as possible and tell the other person in the chat; repeated last-minute cancellations can affect badges and reviews. KaSabay may introduce fees in the future and will announce them before they apply.
Community conduct
Be on time, communicate clearly at the agreed pick-up landmark, and travel safely. We suspend accounts reported for unsafe driving, harassment, fraudulent behaviour, or attempts to run commercial transport.
Liability
Trips are private arrangements between drivers and passengers. To the extent allowed by Philippine law, KaSabay is not liable for the conduct of users, road incidents, delays, or loss of property during a trip.
Advertising and partners
KaSabay may show clearly labelled sponsor or partner content from local businesses. Advertising never appears on booking or payment screens, and we never share your personal data with advertisers. Businesses interested in partnering with us can reach out through "Advertise with us" in the footer.
Privacy (Data Privacy Act of 2012 · RA 10173)
We collect your name, email, Philippine mobile number, optional gender and bio, rides, bookings, reviews and safety reports. We use them strictly to run the service: to display your first name and rating to co-travellers, to reveal your mobile number only to people you have a confirmed seat with, to process booking fees, and to keep the community safe.
Messages between users are private and are not read by KaSabay. If a user reports a conversation, the latest messages of that conversation are attached to the report and reviewed only by our admin team to decide what to do. Voluntary donations are not payments for any trip and give no extra benefits.
We never sell your personal data. You can update your details or delete your account yourself from your Profile, or ask us to do it by writing to [email protected].
